File extension imc information

IMC stands for the Microsoft exchange internet mail connector. Its purpose is creating files to copy failed message in them. The file has extensions in the form ATT, TXT and DAT. When file extension IMC assignments are undertaken a problem may arisen from inbound conversion failure. This requires the message be copied to a file in the TXT file extension format. Sometimes a parameter cannot be found in the headers of MIME messages. They thus have no attachment names and IMC creates a file in the ATT file extension format.
ATT file extensions can be either from the MIME type configuration or from content-type header information. Configuring the MIME content-type in the property page requires that ATT file extension be used. When the content-type is not configured then the DAT file extension is preferred. Sometimes no file name information can be detected in the non-mime messages. File extension IMC is therefore the main file that hosts email messages that bounce. It performs well with attachment headers and so when these are absent IMC creates another file with the DAT file extension.
